I have not updated this journal in about 3 years so I figured it was about time. I have been moving around a lot this past year. First from Chicago to Washington DC and then finally to Upstate NY. Before that I had a wedding, new condo, and lots of corporate mergers keeping me pretty busy. Haven't done much painting at all. Now that my wife and I have settled in our new home in the North East, I've been trying to get into painting again. I've also decided to switch from oils to acrylics. Got tired of waiting days for things to dry and also I get enough toxins in my lungs without breathing turp all day. First attempt at acrylics was god-awful. I just posted the second attempt which was an improvement. Hard to get those settle gradations that you can get with oil when using acrylics, but I think the switch will be worth it (???).

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle. (Anais Nin)
